August 20th
This year Spoonfed has come up with some great panel discussion topics that we want to present at South by South West and you can help us get there by voting for our proposal. SXSW is part tech conference and part film/music festival, which takes place every year in Austin, Texas. Industry experts regularly look to the event for innovative ideas, exciting directors, new technology solutions and of course, great bands.
We’re really proud of the depth and breadth of content that Spoonfed produces, and we’re ready to share our passion for great on-line editorial with the wider tech community. Our two proposals focus on how to effectively create and manage original content and the reasons why this is so important in the Web 2.0 era.
Content is King: User vs. Editorial Content
Managing Your Content Management System
Voting is a quick and simple process and once you’re signed up you have access to thousands of fascinating proposals. There are dozens of great companies from the UK taking part this year like Huddle and Songkick and you can vote for as many discussions as you like.
So what are you waiting for? Get voting, spread the word, and hopefully one of our panel will get picked!
Voting closes September 4

London Bloggers Meetup and YORAS gig
Meg and I went down to the London Bloggers Meetup last night to show off our new iPhone app, the Event Radar which was released yesterday. It was great to see a lot of people excited about our new venture and it seems like a lot of people were already downloading it!
We didn’t have time to bask in the glory though as we soon left to join the rest of the Spoonfed crew at a team outing. The whole office headed down to Ginglik in West London to support Years of Rice and Salt as a battle of the bands night. Our Senior Developer Julian is the guitarist in the band and all the Spoonfed crew trooped along to offer our support. We’ll have to wait a few days to find out how they did, but it was great to see some old and new Spoonfed faces together to relax after a busy weeks with a few drinks, great live music and plenty of noodles.Meg and I went down to the London Bloggers Meetup last night to show off our new iPhone app, the Event Radar which was released yesterday. Twitter. It was written off by many people as a celeb driven fad but now it seems sure to stay. Spoonfed have been using Twitter since last summer to update our followers on news and events from around London and we’re going one step further and integrating the real-time updates to our site. Our pages for venues like KOKO and areas around London like Soho will also pick out relevant information from Twitter from around the area or updates from specific venues and their upcoming events.
Below are just a few of the Spoonfed pages that we have linked up to Twitter so far.
