We’re always in the charitable spirit at Spoonfed so when London for London asked us to get involved with their big charity event, we jumped at the chance to help out a good cause. London for London is a charity event that aims to help combat anti-social behaviour amongst young people by encouraging bars, clubs and pubs across the city to invite every person who walks through their door that night to donate just £1 to charity. Spoonfed are providing full event listings for every venue taking part, which can be accessed on the London for London and Spoonfed websites.
We’re really proud to be involved with this great charity event, to find out how you can get involved too check out http://www.londonforlondon.com/

Spoonfed partners with International Buddhist Festival
We love working with other companies over here at Spoonfed and this month we’ve partnerned up with the International Buddhist Film Festival at the Barbican. Tom’s written up a lovely preview of the event here if any of you are interesting in going along: – http://www.spoonfed.co.uk/spooners/tom-699/international-buddhist-film-festival-2009-1098/

There were a few late arrivals to work yesterday morning, but instead of the usual array of excuses like alarms not going off or lost keys, all the late-comers were tardy for exactly the same reason. Protesters took to the streets around Bank and Moorgate ahead of today’s G20 summit in London where world leaders will meet to announce a global plan for recovery and reform.
Everyone in the office was been following the protests throughout the day via Twitter updates. This may be first London event that managed to capitalise on the real-time effect of Twitter. Spoonfed’s DJ Editor Lowri went down there during lunch to check out what was going on and posted updates to Spoonfed’s Twitter stream too.
According to on-lookers the situation got violent as police clashed with a mixture of environmental protesters and those angry at the banker’s role in the recession.
Lowri wrote up a news piece on the events with more information about the groups involved
